Candice Goldberg
LCSW, SEP

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. I am passionate about helping people heal from past painful experiences and find meaning and connection in their life.

A graduate of the Columbia School of Social work in 1996, I began my career working with individuals and families affected by illness, grief and loss. I later went on to facilitate an adult sibling bereavement group through the COPE Foundation and served as a Project Associate at the Ackerman Institute’s Center for Families and Health.

I have worked in NYC schools supporting children and families to heal from relational and systemic trauma. I believe in the healing power of connection and practice using a strengths-based approach.

Ongoing post graduate training and consultation is an essential part of my professional development and a commitment that I make toward my patients and myself. I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and have extensive training in EMDR, both trauma resolution models of psychotherapy.

I am a trained couple’s therapist with extensive training in EFT, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which is based on the science of adult attachment. Additionally, I completed a clinical externship in family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
